An add-on is an extra sold with a day's booking, such as insurance or a clinic. Organization admins set its price and availability. Your organization needs a Trackside site to sell add-ons.
Create the product
- Open Add-Ons under Products & Checkout.
- Select Add Add-On.
- Enter Name and Description.
- Choose Kind.
- Choose Add-on image if the product needs a picture.
- Set the full price under Price schedule.
- Use Add Price Change for each later price.
Leave the first price start blank to apply that price from the start. Later prices take effect at their start time in your organization's time zone.
Coaching uses Coaching Offerings. For an on-track motorcycle, choose On-track bike rental. Its stock comes from available eligible motorcycles in Rental Bikes. Confirmed bookings and temporary checkout reservations consume that stock before staff assign a motorcycle.
Set payment and stock
Use Full price online under Charge to collect the full price at checkout. Use Deposit online, balance offline to collect part of the price online. For a deposit, enter Deposit and Balance payee. The deposit must be positive and cannot exceed the lowest scheduled full price. Trackside shows the remaining balance and payee but does not collect that balance.
For other add-on kinds, set Stock per day. Leave it blank for unlimited stock. This limit applies separately to each day.
Set availability and dependencies
- Choose Every event day or Selected days only under Days.
- Choose the eligible groups under Groups.
- Choose Requires if the buyer must also have another add-on.
- Set Display order when needed.
- Select Save Add-On.
Selected groups only refers to group templates. A group without a template qualifies only when the product allows every group. For selected days, save the product before choosing its dates.
Choose the offered dates
- Select Manage dates beside the saved add-on.
- Select the days that offer it.
- Use Year, Listing, Venue, and Day type to filter the choices.
- Select Review changes.
- Check the changes across all dates.
- Select Save dates.
Select all matching days and Clear matching days affect the matching dates. Copy dates replaces the draft selection across all dates, including dates hidden by filters. Review copied dates before saving.
With selected-day availability, you must select newly created days separately. With every-day availability, new days offer the add-on by default. Availability changes preserve existing bookings and stock limits.
Override one day
Open Events under Operations. Open the event and find its day. Select Edit beside the product under Add-ons. Change Offered on this day or Stock on this day. Select Save.
Motorcycle stock still comes from motorcycle availability. Changing availability does not cancel a purchased extra. Use Cancel a booking for cancellation.
