Organization administrators use Payments to connect Square and test their site. Viewers and operators can read the connection status.
The public settings panel shows your saved provider and mode. Choose Payment provider and Public payment mode, then select Save payment settings in the same panel. For Square, the save button stays unavailable until the selected mode has a usable connection and saved location. The message beside the button tells you which setup action remains. Changing the provider selection does not change your saved public payment settings.
Square Live has a status row, including when you select Dummy. Ready means the connection can process purchases. It does not mean that your public site uses that connection. The saved provider and mode show which connection your public site uses. Unavailable includes the reason and your next step.
Select Configure Square Live to open its connection dialog. You can open the dialog when the connection is unavailable. Connecting Square and saving a location leave public payments unchanged.
Test your site
The Test purchases panel opens a private test on draft, preview and live sites. Select Start test checkout to try purchases without a payment connection or real charges. Public payment settings and public sales stay unchanged.

Integration checks
Open Square integration checks only for a payment integration check with your LapBrain contact. Square Sandbox setup is not needed for test purchases or Square Live connection.
Connect Square Live
Live payments charge real money. Trackside allows live payments only on its production service.
- Select Configure Square Live.
- Select Connect Square.
- Authorize the live seller.
- Check the location name after you return to Trackside.
- If more than one location is available, choose Square location.
- Select Save location if you changed the location.
- Select Use Square Live for public payments to activate the connection.
Trackside reopens the connection dialog and shows the authorization result. Reloading keeps the dialog open, but the result message does not repeat. Close the dialog to return to public settings.
The location must be active and use your organization's currency. Trackside saves the location when only one is available. If the saved location is no longer usable, choose an eligible location. Select Save location, even when only one location is available. If the dialog shows Square setup required, ask your LapBrain contact to configure Live payments.
Your Trackside administrator controls site publication and your application fee. Complete your launch checks before opening sales.
Repair a connection
Open the affected mode's connection dialog. If its status requests reconnection, select Reconnect Square. Choose the original seller for existing orders.
Select Disconnect Square to stop using that connection. Sandbox and Live connections remain separate.
